After four pushes Amy arrives after 30 minutes of active labor.     I'm still in awe that during the last birth I'll ever experience, I've had a water birth, and another homebirth, both which I thought were never going to happen. God is good to me.

Nine minutes later Nicole arrives and is quickly gathered up into my arms with her sister.

Dh and I are thrilled, not to mention in shock...Amy was born so quickly dh wasn't there to see her born!

My helpers.   Cathy (in the bandana) was the key element to keeping me calm during such a furiously fast birth. My other friend, Tabatha, came after all was said and done. She was essential in helping me stay out of hospital by staying with the babies and me for hours after the birth.   Note the cord. Nicole's cord is still attached to the placenta that is hiding under my leg! You can't see it, but so is Amy's. Add your content here

While mommy nurses the other of our two precious little girls (Amy).     (Please note that that little bulb syringe seems to make it into a bunch of pics...we never did use it.)

The girls are wrapped up and get a cuddle from Aunt Cat, while mommy gets up off the floor. Cathy has been a huge support for me during this pregnancy and obviously this birth. She is THE calmest person, and the greatest doula that ever was (IMNSHO).

Finally I've showered and warming up in bed. The kids are back from the park and quite surprised at what they come home to. Angela immediately wants to hold a baby!

Amy gets a check up. Daddy gets his hands busy dressing her up. She weighs 6 pounds 12 ounces and is 19.5 inches long.

Nicole is next. She weighs in at 6 pounds 8 ounces and is 18.5 inches long. She looks quite different from her sister. I think she just might be my first dark haired baby.

A little bit of booby and the girls are ready for their first after birth snooze. So is Mommy!

Cathy and I smiling over the girls. We have supported women in birth for over 5 years now. This was the ultimate though. Kinda like our path was leading us here. She is a God send!
